How Would You Spend Your Ideal Day?

By Daniel Beer

How Would You Spend Your Ideal Day? How are you starting off your day? How is your team utilizing their hours at work?

What are you all doing as a whole to progress together to move in the right direction, rather than staying stagnant and stuck in the same routine with the same results?

Don’t miss out on our FREE LIVE training Oct 2nd-4th
Farming Domination Formula: https://agentacademy.com/livecast/

If you could describe your ideal day, what would it look like?

Anyone can call themselves a professional but it’s another thing to actually be one.

It’s astonishing how many people whether you’re in a specific town, within a business, company to a person or people and you ask,

“What are you doing 3 Wednesdays from now?”

Majority of the time, people are going to say, “I don’t know” and think you’re the crazy one for asking that far in advanced.

However, If you don’t know what you’re doing 3 Wednesdays from now, and then that day is going to come and guess what? You’re STILL not going to know.

You’re going to get up like you always do, check your calendar, and plan your day in that very moment based upon what you’re doing that specific day.

However, if I go and ask my team, what do you have planned 3 Wednesdays from now, I’m 100% certain that they’re going to respond with a play by play because I’m able to hold them accountable because they’re not just thinking about today, they’re thinking about tomorrow, the next week, and the following week after that.

I know that my team is going to be doing every hour of every day.
For example,

7:30-8 am Role Play (which is optional but there’s a 100% attendance every time)

8:00-9:03 am Power Hour within our office and they’re prospecting for an hour every day.

9:03-9:17 am Daily Huddle – what’s going to be happening personally & professionally because it’s significant that we’re all on the same page every single day so we can all grow, progress and accomplish everything and anything we need to together.

9:30-11:30 am – Follow Up & Pipeline Nurture

11:30am – Lunch

12:30pm – Open for Appointments

Remember, your schedule doesn’t have to look like this, in fact, it could be completely different. However, if you don’t a specific timeline for every day that you have to be at the office or working with your team and individually, it’s crucial you have to crush your morning – because that is when you’re the most productive and proactive. It’s known that if you have an incredible morning, you’re more likely to have an amazing and successful day so,

How are you starting off your day?

How is your team utilizing their hours at work?

What are you all doing as a whole to progress together to move in the right direction, rather than staying stagnant and stuck in the same routine with the same results?

It’s something you have to step back and ask yourself or else you’re never going to get anywhere else because you’re not willing to make that change to get to where you need to be with the right mindset to get you there the most efficient way possible.

Once you step back and start reevaluating you and your teams day ask yourself one more thing…

Do you think the person that can answer “What are you doing 3 Wednesdays from now?” has an advantage over someone who can’t seem to envision what that may look like?

#1 Hiring Mistake Real Estate Agents Make

By Daniel Beer

There is one hiring mistake that we’re all guilty of making.

Whether you are a team leader, team owner, CEO or perhaps you’re an operations person who can hire throughout your business…  that one mistake in your hiring process can be detrimental in the long run.

The moment you try to create a role for a person, rather than fitting a person in an existing role, you’re setting yourself up for failure. Regardless if that person is your friend, family, someone who has been a part of your business or a new individual that you like – you tend to believe you could fit them somewhere within the company when realistically, it’s not possible.

When you start altering your org chart, accountability chart, which is really your growth and people plan you have absolutely begun derailing your company without even realizing the course of chaos you’re headed in.

It’s pivotal you have a hiring system in place that flows back to your org chart – so you can stay consistent with your team and for those who are looking to join. The last thing you want to do is hire someone on the spot because you like their personality or believe you can fit them in somewhere based upon their ability to learn.

Although those are all great qualities, you have to have a specific role in mind before speaking to your potential hire or else you become distracted and stray away from your values.

If that potential hire fits a specific position, then interview them for that role within your company.

If they don’t, they’re simply not the best fit for you, your business and culture.

Again, it’s not always a family member or someone that you hold close to you. Majority of the time, it’s someone who is already on your team and a part of the business who is no longer sitting in the right seat.

This is where you need to pay the most attention. Not only is it destructive to have someone doing something they don’t like, but also, wearing multiple hats within your business when ultimately, they should have only one primary focus – to do the job they were assigned without any distractions.

Don’t turn a marketing person into an assistant.

Don’t turn an admin into a salesperson.

You must follow your core values and vision for your company if you want to continue to progress, grow and build the ultimate team that will come together to help reach that success.

Best Practices For Real Estate Team Leaders

By Daniel Beer

The main job of a leader is to serve their team. As a leader, you need to make sure that your team is healthy, focused, and safe. Your team knows that the moment they get into work, all they have to worry about is taking care of the customer which ultimately leads the customer to take care of the business.

Your customer will be taking care of the business because they are the ones that are providing referrals, positive word of mouth, and of course, the funding that the business needs to be healthy and when the business is healthy and growing,
Guess who gets paid?
The owners.
As an owner, you need to know that you’re not the one who gets paid first. You have to take care of each aspect of your business, whether it be the systems, tools, strategies, team or company culture, it’s pivotal you make sure everything is taken care and can hold your leader accountable in the day-to-day operations of your business.
The leader should never have to be stressing or worrying about money. The leader’s main objective is to lead. So when the leader shows up to serve your team, your agents, your staff, employees, as a leader you show up for one reason and one reason only,
To be there for your team.
And when your team knows that the leader has their best interest in mind, with a positive mentality and a healthy perspective – they will crush it every single day they walk through that door because they know their leader wants nothing but less than ultimate happiness and success for everyone.
The team needs the leader to be focused on pouring into them and growing opportunities to assure they never hit the ceiling. That is the utmost motivating and inspiring way to bring out the best in your team, to make your teams jobs easier.
How does this benefit your team?
It creates culture, loyalty, drive, motivation, ambition to continue to progress not only individually but also, as a team to constantly provide growth, opportunity, and success.
