Agent Academy: Which Comes First – Lead Gen or Lead Follow Up?
In episode 19 of Agent Academy, I want to talk you through lead gen and lead follow-up and which one should come first.
Most agents are having trouble finding the relationship between lead generation and lead follow up. Understanding how to prioritize them will lead you to get better results and ultimately more money.
Often in the industry agents and teams jump first into lead generation with their marketing and farming campaigns.
The issue with this is you are creating holes in the system and allowing leads to getting out because you have not yet created a follow-up system that you can depend on. The follow-up system must be built first to avoid these leaks in the system.
If you do not first create a follow-up system you will start to think that your lead generating, and farming is not working. When the real issue is you have holes in your system. You are getting leads that are getting lost and you are leaving opportunity on the table.
Slow down and build the follow-up system and then pour the lead generating into it. Agents with a follow-up system in place are the ones you will see succeeding in lead generating. Most lead generating systems will work for you if there is a lead follow-up system in place first.
I challenge you in 2018 to prioritize your activities the right way so you get results you can then measure and make business decisions with.
