Agent Academy: What is Your Business’ Identity?
On episode 25 of Agent Academy, we are going to talk about Business Identity. A top producer recently asked me how my team has been able to grow at such a high level and on a continuous basis.
As he is telling me about his business and how his team is doing, I was hearing his business lacked an identity.
His team couldn’t attract team members that would function a certain way with a certain type of core values because they hadn’t yet identified what it meant to be a part of their business.
Get very clear on what you stand for and what your team is or isn’t, there is not a right or wrong answer.
If you cannot answer the way your business runs the expectations, culture, mindset, environment, you are never going to be able to find team members that will fit your business.
If you are a solo agent and you cannot answer the way your business runs, you will never be able to find the consistency to get the momentum to create habits for your business.
Habits are not limited to personal things. Business’ also have habits. Your business’ habits may be for example getting the day started at 8 am.
Personal habits need time to develop. Roughly 66 days to develop a personal habit. Business habits function the same way. A business, in my view, needs 90 days to create a habit, which is equivalent to one quarter. Get very clear on what you are going to stand for and what your standards are, then implement and protect them.
People that are attracted to us understand what we are like. They know that we have a transparent culture, that we are highly competitive, and that we are constantly learning. To be a part of that culture they must be a contributor.
